I know this might come off as a silly request, but I think it would be cool if you did a video on the various styles of suits used in gangster films, including Western and Easter gangster films. I've always liked the look of the suits, particularly the black suits used in Hong Kong movies of the late 80s and early 90s, as well as the suits in Japanese films around the same time. Then there are films that share that same style that came out in the West, like Reservoir Dogs.
This is a great video with some good starter pieces. I would love to see you do something similar with dress shirts.
Good to know that you can find something that's good enough on the low end nowadays. Not like 10 years ago, where wearing a sub 150 bucks suit was like hugging a porcupine.
This was quite informative and I loved the format and presentation of the video. You should do this with other items too e.g. cheaper dress shoes, casual jackets, etc.
Because of our family tradition of getting a suit bought when we’re 14, I bought my first full suit with my dad the other day in London: a dark blue double-breasted flannel suit, with two vents and flap pockets. Plus, I got four dress shirts from Charles Tyrwhitt. I already had some black brogues, and a few fairly nice ties, so I guess I can go to any formal occasion I like now and I’ll look sharp.

Hey Antonio, can you review Jack Victor? I'm finding their suits to be excellent quality with different levels of affordability based on material. The stitched canvas in the jacket as opposed to the cheaper glue gives it great flexibility that just improves the suits conforming to your shape over time.Their Classic Wool pants are actually waterproof! Water beads up and rolls off.

I just bought two suits from Mercado Libre in Brazil. They actually fit me better than most suits at stores here. They where 50usd and are cheap poliester and bad finishing seams (loose threads, nothing that couldnt be solved with a seamstress along with the fitting).
Only problem was i have some lats (oly lifter) and it was slightly too tight for me. No problem as i have a free return and am talking to the store RN.
Overall? I need a few suits to beat up working, i feel no problems with buying these ones while i cant go to specialized tailors.
I'm so glad I bought that Micheal Kors suit from the exchange vs the Kenneth Cole from Amazon. Thanks for saving me money/time.

For inexpensive suits and sport coats I shop at jcpenny and goodwill. I can try them on to get the best fit possible. At goodwill I can get higher quality including Italian for just 6 to 10 dollars. Online is too risky for me when I can try them on in a store. It would be interesting to see a goodwill or thrift store video. Maybe take a day and visit several goodwill and thrift stores and see what you find.

@@RealMenRealStyle For the later ones: There are some jobs that require a suit but pay badly, like greeters in an upscale restaurant or a sales asoc. for luxury condos. Other options are your teenage son when he needs to wear a suit for this one thing..... The color ones for a party.

Calvin Noah hoodies and sneakers are not just for 7 years old. You know what “context” and “situation” mean, right? There’s a place for suits, and there’s a place for hoodies and sneakers. And let me tell you, you can dress well even with a hoodie (of course it’s gonna be a casual outfit, but still good looking)

Take the stitch out of the vent
I had the same issue with the Salvatore 3 piece. The pants are a bit too tight, the vest is perfect (for no tailoring) and the jacket was really big. Kinda makes me feel like a clown wearing it. But I can get away with wearing the vest with something else, or just the jacket. Not all together.
Is there any complexion that goes with yellow? That mustard color which was popular last year looked awful against my pale skin.

Not surprising that they aren't bad. These are defiantly the same factories making jackets that sell for $200 at department stores, so they can't be any better or worse than those.

To be honest, H&M suits aren't as bad as you may think, if they fit you well and don't feel like piping out a lot of money. Go right ahead and get those ladies or guys you stud!

You look good in these suits but they definitely have that 1970s synthetic look.
The style rating for the green one was way off. The colour choice is quite arbitrary, so the idea that it's just a "costume" isn't a very objective one. Lots of people can rock more uniquely coloured suits.
Sorry to diseagreed with you but the last suit, the light grey one, has the best fit on you, except of course on the lenght of the sleeves. It seems more confortable, not so tight like the other ones...
Those aren't bad for the prices, but what perturbs me about "modern" off-the-rack suits, is that they ALL seem to be cut on pretty much the same pattern.
To begin with, I'm tall. The newer style seems to place the trouser rise too low and the button stance on the jackets too high, leaving too much shirt showing in the break between the buttoned top jacket button and the trouser waistband.
I'm pretty sure that the only way to get the proper (for me, anyway) silhouette, is to either find vintage, or go bespoke... Unless, of course, there's a menswear company that still makes suits and separates on the older-style patterns?

That's an EXCELLENT idea! I'm sure there are plenty of tailors around (professional OR novice) that might believe there's "no call for" their craft... YES- WE NEED TAILORS!
@@slicksnewonenow I use to pass by an old tailor near my home. Looks like huntsman or kingsman tailors. The founder is in his 70s and hunches around his store working on small projects slowly. It is quite a sight. You can find many in Asia, which is where I come from

It refers to chest size in inches, and regular means length of the jacket, you can get short and long aswell

I am going to a wedding in Florida in April. The Ceremony is on the beach but the reception is in a high end hotel.What should I wear. Unfortunately, all of my suits are wool and my sport coat are dark and heavy. I'm 56 medium build 5'9" about 185-90 lbs.
What are the groom and groomsmen wearing? Are they dressing formal or more on the side of casual since it's on the beach. Since it's a beach wedding, I would think a nice lightweight cotton or linen suit would work for you. Think lighter colors like tan, olive, or light blue. I wouldn't worry about the reception being in a high end hotel. You're a guest of the wedding so what you wear shouldn't matter to the hotel.

In india you'll get a very fine quality suit from a top notch brand raymond in under 200$
The red suit seemed to be the best fit. The other jackets were just too tight. Maybe it's just that I hate today's suits. They all seem to be too small...and what's up with the short-ass jackets? Have I mentioned I prefer the classic suits? The jacket should reach down to your cupped hand. I didn't see anything wrong with that gray 3-pc. That looked sharp!
